Once you’ve killed everything that stands in your way, explore the openings where walls previously stood. Of course, the other zombies will crash through the walls anyway it’s much harder to kill each of them if you only have your pistol. If the dead zombie with the shotgun falls too far into the hole in the floor, you won’t be able to grab the shotgun, and you’ll have to reel the zombie back in, making this a tightrope act. The tricky part is that headcrab zombies will barrel down on you from all sides, crashing through the walls before you can get the shotgun if you take your sweet time. What you want to do here is get the rotary in the position you want it, then re-insert the white bar to lock the zombie in place once again so you can grab the shotgun. After you pull it out, the zombie will begin to descend. You have to jump down to the rotary that’s keeping the zombie strung up in the air, and you have to pull out a white bar that’s got the rotary locked in place. Before you leap off the stairwell, pick up the two pistol ammo clips hidden to your left and right. Back on the main path, travel up a staircase and find a hanging zombie corpse with a shotgun. Detour off of the bridge to the right, then go underneath it to find a Resin. Use the battery to open the door, then travel into the next area. Shoot the lock on the nearby door, kill the armored headcrabs inside of the fenced enclosure, and pick up a battery laying on the ground next to the hazmat suit corpse. On the far side of the room, pick up two pistol clips on the operating tables. In the next room, you’ll see a whole bunch of armored headcrabs fenced in with a dead Combine in a hazmat suit. Open the latch with either hand and pick up one pistol clip. Move through the hallway and stop at the first yellow crate you see on your right. While they had the same name, the Survivor Gravity Gloves were actually projectile weapons that fired pulse balls as primary attack and punted nearby objects or other players as the secondary attack. You'll begin the mission in a hallway filled with sewer pipes. Half-Life 2: Survivor had a cut weapon called the Gravity Gloves. The acronym Russell attempts to come up with to justify calling them "Russells" is "Really Useful Something Something Electronic Lightweight Levitating S.".An unused Alyx line that can be found in the files confirms the gloves' name as the Gravity Gloves, with the "Russells" being a new name that Alyx was not previously familiar with.Use the gravity gloves to intercept an incoming enemy grenade in mid-flight.Įarned after taking a magazine from any Combine unit. Use the gravity gloves to loot an item off a living Combine soldier. However, it can be used to manipulate Vortigaunt energy and unleash deadly attacks on enemies, or be used to power Combine technology inside the Vault. Like the Gravity Gun (in its original state), the Gravity Gloves cannot manipulate organic matter, and have no effect on living creatures or remains of dead creatures. (Note: the displays change position if the player chooses to handle the gun with their left hand or play in single handed mode, but Alyx is canonically right-handed.) The metal circle panels in each glove light up when an object is highlighted to be pulled. It can be equipped with a small flashlight. The left glove is also fitted with a check engine light from a car dashboard, it will light up when the user's health is critically low. The ammo type displayed is specific to the gun equipped. The left glove has two displays: one that indicates the user's health with 3 heart icons, and one that shows the amount of resin collected, if the right hand is unarmed, or the amount of ammo left, if the user is holding a gun. The gloves allow Alyx to pull nearby objects to her hand, similar to the Gravity Gun, or Zero Point Energy Field Manipulator.
